The PAMJ CPHRI is proud to introduce a new addition to the PAMJ Family of journals. The Primary Health Care Practice Journal is supported by Amref International University (AmIU).
The Primary Health Care Practice Journal (PHCP) is an independent, open-access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes articles on primary health care practice. It is hosted by Amref International University, an affiliate of Amref Health Africa. We believe that evidence-based practices on primary health care can achieve lasting health change in Africa and elsewhere.
Aim and Scope: To provide evidence for strengthening primary health care practice in Africa and beyond. We publish original scientific and best-practice research articles on all aspects of Primary Health Care Practice.
We welcome manuscripts in the following broad areas with a primary health care intersection:
To sustain its open-access publishing model, the PHCP Journal charges article processing fees (APCs). These fees are paid only upon acceptance of the manuscript for publication. Requests for APC waivers will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
The current APC is set at $200 USD for authors from Africa and $250 USD for authors from outside of Africa.
The Primary Health Care Practitice Journal (PHCP) is a publication of the Amref International University. Articles published in the PHCP are intended to professionals in the field of public health and allied sciences.
